She is an Assistant Professor at DSCA since 2020. She completed her Bachelor’s in Architecture from SMMCA, Nagpur. M.Arch in Architectural Conservation from School of Planning & Architecture, Bhopal in 2017. Architecture to her is an immersive endeavor to culture knowledge for pushing horizon in its practices, innovating sustainable ideas for the present, and preserving the authenticity and integrity of elements from the past. She has over three years of hands-on experience in the design field, heritage planning, and project management. She has worked with IHCN-F, Bangalore as a Project Manager. She was involved in the preparation of the Tourism Master Plan for destinations in Karnataka. She has assisted in the Preparation of the Nomination Dossier for the Monuments and Forts of Deccan Sultanate (Bidar, Bijapur, Gulbarga) in Karnataka, for inclusion on the UNESCO World Heritage list, India, 2019 for the Department of Archaeology, Museums and Heritage, Government of Karnataka for this program. As part of her educational requirements, she has taken part in multi-scale projects with adequate involvement in Heritage Conservation. She has developed knowledge & understanding of theoretical & practical aspects of architectural conservation & its implication on built heritage. Her interest is in exploring and broadening the paradigm of Heritage-based planning & Conservation in India –“from preserving our past to protecting our future”.
