Dayananda Sagar College of Architecture (DSCA), offers an M.Arch in Interior Design, one of the most sought after courses considering the increasing demand for interior design services in residential and commercial spaces.

M.Arch, Interior Design, is a 2-year, full time PG program offers specialization in all aspects of interior design – planning and optimising usage of spaces, design of furniture and fixtures, lighting, and enhancing functionality. It includes usage of newer materials, fabrication and installation of units to achieve an aesthetic appeal. Students must be holders of B.Arch from a recognised to be eligible for the M.Arch program at DSCA.

Educational objectives of the programs offered at DSCA

➢ The program focuses on optimising and enhancing spaces considering their physical, social, and aesthetic requirements.

➢ The course focuses on planning, organising, and designing interiors for offices, residences, retail outlets, departmental stores, malls, hotels, theatres, studios, event spaces and more.

➢ Students will be imparted skills in design thinking, visual communication and design, colour sense, utilisation of materials and other aspects that result in aesthetic pleasing, durable interiors.

Eligibility (M.Arch.)

Candidates who have completed their Bachelor of Architecture (B. Arch) from a recognized university with a minimum of 50% of marks in their final exam

Selection: The candidate has to appear and secure the minimum required marks in NATA.
(Including SC / ST, Category-1, and OBC Category candidates) conducted by the Council of Architecture.

With the economy growing, cities expanding, and the number of residential and commercial spaces increasing year on year, B.Arch and M.Arch degree holders can pursue exciting careers.

For starters, they can take up positions as designers and architects in architectural firms or with builders & developers.

They can specialise in CAD visualisation and offer 3D walkthrough services to clients, even beyond their region.

A good number of employment/ consulting roles are available with the government in town planning and large community projects.

The other lucrative job is that of a structural engineer where they are expected to recommend on steel requirements and drawings.
